Composite & amalgam. Done in one visit.
Tooth fillings from AED 240 at our Al Barsha 1 clinic. Stop decay in its tracks, restore full function, and protect your tooth — all in a single comfortable appointment.
A dental filling restores a tooth damaged by decay, a crack, or wear. Treating a cavity early with a filling prevents it from deepening into the nerve — avoiding the need for a root canal or extraction later.
At Tooth-Tastic in Al Barsha 1, we use tooth-coloured composite resin as standard, so your filling blends naturally with the rest of your smile. Amalgam is also available when clinically appropriate.

At Tooth-Tastic, composite fillings cost AED 240–450 per tooth depending on the size and complexity of the cavity. Amalgam fillings cost AED 450. We provide a clear quote after your free check-up — no hidden fees.
Mild discomfort or sensitivity for 1–3 days after a filling is normal — the tooth has been numbed, drilled, and the new filling is bonded. Cold and hot drinks may feel sharper. Most toothache after a filling settles on its own within a week. If pain is severe, throbbing, or worsening after 5–7 days, contact us — sometimes a small bite adjustment is needed, or rarely a deeper issue is involved.
For most patients, tooth sensitivity after a filling settles within 2–7 days. Avoid very hot or very cold drinks for the first few days and use a sensitive-teeth toothpaste. If sensitivity lasts more than 2 weeks or is severe, it can mean the bite is slightly high (a 5-minute adjustment) or that the cavity was close to the nerve and needs review. Walk in and we will check.
Mild sensitivity to cold or pressure for a few days is expected. Get checked promptly if you have: severe spontaneous pain, throbbing that wakes you up, pain when biting that does not settle, or pain that gets worse instead of better after the first week. These can signal a high bite, a deeper cavity, or in rare cases the need for a root canal.
No. We use local anaesthesia so you feel pressure, not pain, during the procedure. Most patients are comfortable throughout. Any mild sensitivity after the appointment usually settles within a day or two.
With good oral hygiene and regular check-ups, composite fillings typically last 7–10 years or longer. Their longevity depends on the size of the filling, where it is in the mouth, and how well you care for your teeth. We can assess the condition of old fillings at your check-up.
Composite (tooth-coloured) fillings blend with your natural tooth colour, require less removal of healthy tooth structure, and are the standard for front teeth and visible areas. Amalgam (silver) fillings are highly durable and are sometimes used for back teeth under heavy chewing load. Your dentist will recommend the best option for your specific situation.
A single filling typically takes 30–45 minutes including the anaesthesia and bite check. If multiple fillings are needed, we can often complete them in one visit, depending on the number and complexity.
For composite fillings, you can eat once the anaesthesia wears off — usually 1–2 hours. Avoid very hard or sticky foods for the first 24 hours. For amalgam fillings, we advise waiting at least 24 hours before chewing on that side to allow the material to fully set.
Yes, we can often treat multiple cavities in one appointment, especially if they are on the same side of the mouth. This is more convenient and reduces the total number of anaesthesia appointments needed. Your dentist will plan the best approach at your assessment.
If the decay has reached the inner pulp of the tooth (causing severe, throbbing, or spontaneous pain), a root canal may be needed instead of a filling. A digital X-ray at your check-up will show how deep the decay goes. We will always recommend the most conservative treatment that saves your tooth.
Other treatments available at our Al Barsha clinic.
Root Canal Treatment
When decay reaches the nerve, a root canal saves the tooth — avoiding extraction.
Tooth Extraction
When a tooth cannot be saved with a filling, gentle extraction is available same-day.
