We offer traditional metal braces, clear / ceramic braces (the "transparent braces" people often search for), Damon System self-ligating braces (we are a certified provider), and Invisalign clear aligners as a removable alternative. Traditional braces use small elastic bands to hold the wire to each bracket. Damon braces are "self-ligating" — the bracket itself locks onto the wire, removing the need for elastics. The benefit: less friction, often shorter treatment time, fewer adjustment appointments, and easier hygiene. We are a certified Damon System provider.
Yes. Clear ceramic braces work the same way as metal braces — the brackets are just made from a tooth-coloured material that blends in. They are slightly more brittle than metal, so a careful diet helps. Treatment time is usually similar.
Absolutely. Adult orthodontic treatment is now common and works well. Adult bone responds slightly more slowly, so treatment may take a little longer than for teens, but the results are excellent. Many adult patients prefer Invisalign or clear ceramic braces for discretion.

Fitting the braces is not painful — it takes about 1–2 hours. After the fit, and after each adjustment, teeth often feel sore for 2–3 days as they begin to move. Standard pain relief and soft foods help. Most patients describe it as discomfort rather than pain.
